Finally, the fix is here as well as a surprise. The issues are a thing of the past now that an official update to Skype for Android has taken place.
The special surprise in this update gives Skype users access to make calls from their Android-powered smartphones over 3G networks, worldwide. Before, this feature was only a privilege that some Verizon subscribers could brag about, while Skype users on other networks were very unhappy about it. With everyone having access to Skype on a 3G network the application should only become more popular.
