Folks there are high expectations coming from consumers all over the world being thrown at Samsung. People are eager to learn all about their new devices being announced and today is finally one of those days. Samsung will probably be announcing several devices each day but we do know today you can expect to hear about some of the awesome things Samsung has up their sleeve.
Below are some of the things we expect Samsung to show off at the Mobile World Congress show, today in Barcelona, Spain.
Now that we all know Samsung officially confirmed the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 10.1″ you can definitely expect to see/hear of these being shown off today. The specifications we reported to you earlier, all remain the same such as the 1GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch (4.27-inch) Super AMOLED WVGA display, HSPA+ Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 + HS (High Speed), a Readers Hub, Social Hub, Games Hub, Music Hub, 8MP camera with full HD video recording, gyro sensor, Mobile High-definition link allowing to watch full HD content on TV and storage options of 16 and 32GB according to Samsung Hub. Sound like a load of cool features to you? It does to me!
Continuing, the Galaxy Tab will have a 10.1-inch display (1280×800), Honeycomb OS, 8MP camera, full HD video recording and playback and dual surround sound speakers. That sounds like something our users have been waiting for. Am I right?
We also expect Samsung to announced that they’ll offer a glimpse of its bada 2.0 OS. The new bada 2.0 OS was confirmed at developer’s day in South Korea but this will be the first time Samsung will show the OS in action to all the developers. It will bring lots of new features like NFC support, improved multitasking and security. Samsung says Developers can expect an all new SDK which will also be released for Linux and Mac as well as revenue model support to earn money from the bada applications. Expect to hear more on this around the 15th of February, which is developer day in Barcelona.
In a few more days, Samsung is apparently unveiling a larger-sized Android tablet. According to sources, the new Samsung tablet will feature a 10.1-inch screen and will be lighter and thinner than the current Galaxy Tab. We don’t know much more about this one but are sure to keep our eyes and ears open. Rumor is it will also run on Honeycomb and have a dual-core Qualcomm processor along with an 8MP camera. This rumored tablet is expected to be unveiled on the same day as Galaxy S2.
Last but not least, Samsung, KT and Intel have teamed up to introduce a cloud-based LTE technology that will be will also be demonstrated during the show. The Cloud Communications Center (CCC)-based LTE enables operators to make a server and modem act as a base station that helps to lower operational costs while at the same time, handle excessive data traffic.
This is a lot of information and new technology we will start seeing from Samsung today and throughout the week. What do you think so far? Are you ready to get more details? I think some of us are.
