Hello Geeks and thanks for visiting! It’s time for our forum to have something new, something else exciting for the holidays and something that will be interesting to our users. We have created an event for everyone to be involved in, even select staff members! Dig in to see how it works.
Contest Description
Event starts NOW and ends December 24th, 2010! Winners will be selected and announced by Christmas Day.

How the Dirty Santa Avatar/Signature contest works
Users have about 4 weeks or so to create a signature/avatar (PPCG or smartphone related) and yes we will allow you to do more than one, limited to 3 each. Meaning, you can only make 3 avatars and/or 3 signatures, 6 total. Everything made by the users will be entered into one giant pool and we make a draw for each staff member. What we draw per each staff members signature and then for the avatar is what they have to use for a whole month! The 6 staff members participating have shared what they absolutely would NOT allow as an avatar/signature. This can be found in the rules below. Staff members not involved in the contest are allowed to enter their own ideas.
What’s the catch?
The catch is this: PPCGeek members create avatars or signatures, or both, whatever they prefer. Originally they would pick a staff member they are making it for by following the rules on what that staff member will NOT allow. Once created and the winners are drawn, the dirty santa effect comes into play. The staff who is picking the winners and not involved in the contest will then mix the winning selections up as you do gifts in dirty santa games. In the end, one staff member would end up with the one made for another staff member more than likey…just like Dirty Santa! Does that sound fun? Are you ready to make the staff use the avatar or signature you may already have in mind? Get started!! Anyway I would like to give the community a crack at staff’s replacement signatures/avatars for some fabulous prizes in reward!
*Remember, only 1 users entry, per staff member, will get the reward after each staff member has chosen their favorite signature/avatar*
Also I’m not done there! For everyone to enjoy this event and get something out of it, as long as you post a signature/avatar idea of your own you will get 100 rep points, only rewarded once no matter how many times you enter. This should be even more motivation for you to get involved!
Rules and Regulations
* Players can make more than one signature/avatar (better chance at winning)
* Must be images you either found online and edited or created yourself! DO NOT STEAL OR COPY/PASTE!
* Avatar/Signature must be PPCG or smartphone related in some way (as long as it’s in the background, foreground, text, picture, etc.)
* No offensive material is allowed that breaks our rules
* Size limits are to stay withing forum rules
* The limit on how many entries per avatar/signature is 3. You are allowed 3 entries to each one.
* Your signatures/avatars must be a reply in this thread found in the off topic section.
* Your entry must be entered during the time of the event
* Violators of any rules that listed above, you will be disqualified with no warning
Signature Size Limits
– 150 height x 500 width
– 500 characters max
– 5 lines
– limited BBCode
– 2 images (3 for VIPs)
What staff members will NOT allow:
Pzztgotbagz – anything goes
Oridus – nothing apple related
Orangekid – anything goes
Courtney1985 – no plain colors, keep it colorful
Jasonfieldz – no movie figures or themes
Warchild – anything goes until he says otherwise
Entry Prizes
One Time – First Entry Prize: 100 forum reputation – Only given once for first entry whether a it’s signature or an avatar.
The Staff’s Chosen Avatar Prize: 200 forum reputation points to each FINAL entry per staff member
The Staff’s Chosen Signature Prize: 300 forum reputation points to each FINAL entry per staff member
