Momo Alien Starcatcher is an exciting, original, new iphone game created by a user right here on PPCGeeks, Rogelio Rios. Some of you may know him previously for his games created for windows mobile devices. He now has drifted onto the Iphone/Ipod platform.
Iphone/Ipod have been known for their original and innovative games. I can say that’s why I love mine so much! Momo Alien Starcatcher carries on with that tradition offering unique, original gameplay and challenge. The game is simple enough to pick up and play for casual iphone gamers.
When you first start the game you can select one of 2 characters, Momo or Tumbles. Each characters has unique stages and enemies to deal with all throughout the game. Controls are very smooth to move the character and may take some getting used to, as all games do. All you have to do is tap anywhere of the left side of screen to move left or anywhere on the right side of the screen to move right.
The goal of the game is to avoid meteors of all sizes. To make the game more interesting and interactive a boss character will appear randomly firing rockets at your character. After the rockets land you can shoot them right back at the boss. Another cool feature is you have a variety of power-ups like invincibility star or Momo’s ray gun that shoots mini spaceships.
The creator of the game not only has the Iphone/Ipod version but you can rest assure there is a pc version as well. I myself have been enjoying a little bit of both options. I am impressed with this game as it does pass time and the graphics are done very nicely. The controls do seem a little touchy when you are moving from left to right but as I said above it could just take some getting used to. Take a look at the short preview below.
