UPDATE:
After several websites posted this great news we all got so excited about, there seems to be one site who isn’t so sure this is true. Why? Keep reading to find out. They seem to have some pretty interesting points they have picked out as you can tell with their drawings in the image above.
Why Android Police thinks this could very possibly be a fake:
-
The example icons in the first image, towards the top left do not match the icons used on the phone.
-
The image on the screen of the phone doesn’t fit the actual screen. It’s not even close.
-
The phone looks awfully familiar to the iPhone 4 right down to a metal band around the edge.
- The taskbar matches the iPhone 4 also.
- The side of the phone seems to be super-shiny chrome now, when it’s a matte metal in the other renders? The bottom (thumb-side) also looks to be either white or extremely shiny in the side view as well, but that doesn’t match the matte black of the front and back renders.
- DLNA is incorrectly spelled as “DNLA”.
- “Clouding services” is not something Samsung would say. They use “cloud services.”
- Engadget makes it look like they’re not sure whether the screen is 4.5″ or 4.3″ and downplays this gross inconsistency.
- SAMOLED2 – do you really think this is how we’d find out about the next generation Super AMOLED?
These are some pretty interesting facts that I sure didn’t notice. Good to know someone out there is studying the images a lot closer. Although they aren’t saying this is definitely fake, there are some pretty large factors in the image that do point in the direction of being untrue. What do you think?

END OF UPDATE:
So we all just knew Gingerbread was coming today didn’t we? Why didn’t it happen is what I want to know? While you are wondering this at the same time lets take a look at what was just leaked out to Engadget. Apparently a new Samsung Android device is coming in early 2011 with Gingerbread as you can see in the image above.
Study that image above and see what your thoughts are on the specifications. No need for me to explain because they are all right there. I would like to point out my three favorite parts: the sAMOLED screen,1.2GHz processor and of course Gingerbread!
Do you think we will have to wait until then for Gingerbread? I don’t think so but who knows. It was supposed to be released today with no word of it anywhere. What’s up with that? Let us know what you think!
