Although some still haven’t gotten their hands on their pre-ordered Droid 2 Global devices, others have already received it and rooted it. According to users at Droid-life, it seems that the same method used for most of the other Android Devices can be used on this one too.
The person saying that it is successful stated that he used the “on phone” method found here. Droidlife suggests the SuperOneClick method may have worked just as well and without all of the manual command typing. After they stated this, users reported that SuperOneClick method is freezing up so they suggest going with the manual method! They also add that he was also able to bootstrap the recovery using Koush’s D2 Bootstrap app.
Did you order a Droid 2 Global device from Verizon Wireless? If so, I think I can guess what you will do first when you get it. If you are one who already has it, let us know if you will try this method. If you do try it, please give us your feedback. We would love to hear and share it with others.
