Although this seems a little confusing we think we have it figured out now. Androidcentral originally posted an article stating that Verizon was giving away HTC Merges through an Urban Challenge being held in Seattle. Verizon Wireless contacted them in return to correct the device being given away. It’s not the HTC Merge but is the HTC Incredible. What’s funny is that on their own contest website they have a picture of the Incredible shown for the prize but in the description they have put HTC Merge, not Incredible. Is that confusing or what? With the correction coming directly from them, we now know the text is wrong but the image is right!
Now you ask what is this contest all about? According to Verizon, it’s like a rat race through the city of Seattle consisting of a grueling test of head-to-toe and between-the-ears strengths. An unpredictable, multi-stage contest against 49 teams all with a craving appetite for the same dish – 1st place. Or maybe it’s the cash and HTC smartphone they are craving. Either way, grab the closest relative, girlfriend, boyfriend, best friend, neighbor, or stranger and snag one of the 50 spots while you still can. You must register to be eligible to participate in the Verizon Urban Challenge.
We found more information on Verizon’s Website and want to share it with you here.
