As some of you may know, dcordes over at XDA has been working on trying to port Linux and Android to the HD2. This has not been an easy journey, but progress has been made. The touchscreen is working, it is running Ubuntu and Android 2.1 with lots of bugs, but running them none-the-less.
It seems to be only a matter of time before we can have our own T-Mobile Evo 3G which can dual-boot Windows 6.5(.x) if wanted, as well as running Froyo and perhaps Gingerbread?
Check out the Youtube video on this thing and head over to to grab XDA-Developers What you need to throw in your SD and instructions on getting this thing working if you want to try it out on your HD2. When this thing is a little more stable I will for sure be using this on my device.
Stay tuned for more updates on this project and I know I’m very excited to run Android on my HD2.
