We’ve heard rumors of a Sony Playstation phone before, but now WSJ is reporting from someone “close to the matter” is saying that Sony is developing a new line of smartphone devices capable of downloading and playing Playstation games. It is said to compete against the Apple iPad/iPhone/iPod and other “multifunction products”. They are expected to work with Sony’s new online service, which was developed to compete with iTunes.
